Our team is such a unique compilation of individuals! We have wrestlers, softball and baseball players, a soccer player, track athletes... We come from different places (even Panama!) and we differ in our personalities and interests. But we all have a common goal on this missions trip, and we are all bound by our faith in Christ. Praise HIM!
So, back to business. What are we going to be doing in Panama, anyway? Well, here's what is on the top of our list:
1.) Share God's word and His love;
2.) Provide water filters (and other items, such as clothing, hygienic items, etc.) to the people who need them;
3.) Play sports with our new Central American friends.
Of course, we also hope to create lasting friendships within our team and get the most out of our experience in Panama!
In case you didn't know, this blog post is the start of a series of posts that will occur over the course of our trip. Liz and I (SJ) will be blogging for the most part, but we'll have the help of a few other team members along the way. Hopefully, we can post some exciting news each day! However, if a day goes by without a post, don't panic--we're probably just not able to access the Internet at that particular time. In general, though, look for updates about our team, our trip--our BIG ADVENTURE!
